Fantastic Views and Geographical Dreams
Colin grew up in North Wales and went to university in Birmingham before becoming a teacher in Dubai. He is very fond of his homeland and had the following to share about it:
What do you like about North Wales?
The calmness of the air in North Wales is reflected in the people. The rural way of life makes it a therapeutic place to unwind.
What are the most popular sports locally?
Football and rugby have always battled it out for top spot in North Wales. Recently, it has been fairly even between the two. Both are watched by locals weekly.
What are your favourite spots in North Wales?
One of my favourite spots is the summit of Conwy Mountain, you get a fantastic view of the geographical dream that is Llandudno. Anglesey is also a marvellous island to explore as it has an array of divine beaches and coastal walks.
Any interesting facts?
The local area is steeped in history. The ancient Druids have many sites that still exist, like the one Druid circle above Penmaenmawr, and North Wales is one of the only areas of the UK not completely invaded by the Romans.
